Fly here, Fly there, Fly everywhere

Direct flights to the most pristine beaches in the country, premier shopping and exquisite dinning seems like the ideal getaway to the most novel of travelers. Time to over pack your bags as Northwest Florida Beaches International Airport (ECP) will welcome American Airlines to the family with non-stop flights from Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport (DFW) and Charlotte Douglas International Airport (CLT) starting this summer.

The young airport now in its eighth year of operation has seen over 5% increase in passenger growth. According to their most recent airport activity report, last year alone 887,369 customers have passed through its gates for business or leisure travel. With its remarkable 10,000-foot runway, the airport has seen a welcome boost in tourism, job creation and steady growth to the local economy.

The new routes offered by American Airlines will expand travel from two of its larger hubs to connect east and west coast passengers. Dallas Fort/Worth currently services more than 760 flights per day, welcoming customers from 30 different countries. Charlotte Douglas services an impressive 675 daily flights connecting travelers from 25 countries. The CRJ-700 aircraft that will service the new routes offers 65 seats total featuring 9 in first class and 56 in the main cabin.

Neighboring airport Destin Fort Walton Airport (VPS) located within Eglin Air Force Base will be adding additional flights from existing airlines such as Delta Airlines, American Airlines, United Airlines, Allegiant Air, GLO Airlines and Contour Airlines.

To make travel more accessible, both airports will see new ride sharing services available this summer. You can contact UBER and LYFT directly for assistance to and from the airport.
